Today I learned all about the auteur theory, what it takes to be a good director and how a tone for a movie will set the whole movie in motion and that it won't stray from that tone. Paraphrasing the wonderful Quentin Tarantino during his Sway interview, sometimes you need to do the things that people don't necessarily want to see in a movie to make a good one.
