Chapter 10 on building a climax to me was bit to common sense and over simplification of storytelling.  I can see where some new writers may need that instruction and spelling it out how to build to a climax. But at the same time to me it feels like just over simplifying the idea that you have to have to build drama or tension in this certain way to make your story work. Or even the statement that the dramatic twist in the middle is the most important part of the story doesn’t ring true to me.

On Febuary 2nd I met up with Jon and helped him set up for filming a live stream presentation for a Kansas City Bitcoin group. I helped set up projection screen and arrange the lighting and camera for it. After that Jon and I discussed upcoming projects and went over some of my recent chapter quizzes.

On my own I wrote a spec script to use in submitting for a writing program with a studio. Rex Piano was kind enough to offer to look it over and made sure I had the script in a proper format for submission. I got it turned in and by the end of July I should hear if I have been chosen to go further in the program. Unfortunately my time working on that has put me behind on doing revision to my movie script so now that that project is done I will be getting back on track with my own writing.
